Our client, an administrative organization based in Georgia, US, is responsible for managing water distribution and billing for residential and commercial properties across the state. With a mission to modernize their water usage monitoring and billing processes, the client required a comprehensive solution that could automate water meter readings, provide real-time data access, and generate detailed reports for various administrative groups. Their goal was to improve efficiency, reduce operational costs, and ensure accurate billing for all users across the state.
The client aimed to develop an IoT-enabled water meter reading portal that would collect real-time data from water meters, automate reporting, and notify relevant parties about anomalies such as leaks or excessive water usage. Key objectives included seamless integration with their existing systems, robust data storage, and the ability to visualize complex data through charts and reports.
Integrating real-time option chain data from the NSE with low latency.
Presenting complex options data in a clear and user-friendly format.
Enabling seamless order execution directly from the analysis tool through broker integrations.
Designing an intuitive interface that caters to both experienced traders and those new to options trading.
Allowing traders to filter option chain data based on custom parameters such as strike prices, expiry dates, and volatility levels.
Ensuring the platform responds quickly to market movements and order executions without delays.
Providing traders with built-in tools for assessing risk, including delta, gamma, and theta calculations.
Ensuring secure handling of sensitive data, particularly during API-based transactions.
Building a system that can handle increasing data loads and a growing user base.
To meet the client’s objectives, we developed a scalable and secure IoT water meter reading portal using AWS IoT, AWS Lambda, and AWS DynamoDB for real-time data collection, processing, and storage. The portal was built using Laravel, providing a user-friendly interface for administrators to monitor water usage across multiple locations. Complex data visualizations were implemented to give clear insights into water usage trends, while real-time monitoring allowed for immediate detection of anomalies such as leaks or abnormal usage patterns.
The system also featured automated alerts and notifications via AWS SES, ensuring that any issues were promptly reported to the appropriate authorities. Group-wise reporting tools allowed administrators to generate detailed reports for billing, consumption trends, and maintenance needs. The platform was designed to scale as the number of IoT-enabled meters increased, ensuring that the system could handle the growing data load.
IoT-enabled water meters continuously stream data to the portal, ensuring up-to-date readings for accurate billing.
Automatically processes and filters incoming data from IoT devices, triggering alerts for any abnormal readings.
Provides fast, scalable storage for all water meter readings, ensuring reliable data access for real-time monitoring.
Administrators can view detailed usage patterns through interactive charts and timeline visualizations, helping to identify trends and anomalies.
Real-time alerts and notifications via AWS SES are sent when water usage exceeds predefined thresholds or when a malfunction is detected.
The portal automatically generates reports for different administrative groups, summarizing water usage, billing, and system performance.
A responsive and intuitive portal interface allows administrators to easily manage water meter data and generate reports.
Displays live data on water consumption, alert statuses, and system performance, giving administrators a comprehensive overview.
Implements SSL encryption and access controls to ensure that sensitive data is protected and meets compliance requirements.
Designed to scale with the expansion of IoT water meters while minimizing cloud service costs through efficient resource usage.
Administrators can define custom thresholds for alerts based on usage patterns, ensuring timely action when necessary.
The platform is accessible via mobile devices, allowing administrators to monitor water usage and alerts on the go.
